Duties

Help

Performs a variety of duties involving maintenance of records and associated clerical support.

Prepares various reports and financial data pertaining to the Bowling Center.

Compiles necessary data and submits to the Bowling Center Manager for review and final action.

Maintains the Bowling GPC program.

Prepares correspondence, forms, reports and other items as required.

Organizes and schedules open and league bowling.

Assists in performing inventory of resale items.

Oversees operation of pro shop and snack bar in the absence of the Bowling Center Manager and works one or both when required and/or necessary.

Makes daily bank deposits and replenishes cash on hand as needed.

Performs surprise cash counts to ensure bank and register are correct.

Contacts vendors for the purpose of correcting purchase orders and expediting shipments.

Receives and coordinates customer complaints and ensures that satisfactory action is taken.

Assists in planning and conducting Bowling special events.

Responsible for the Snack Bar Food Trac System, AMF Qubica Bowling System and employee timekeeping.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if the position allows for qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:

Progressively responsible experience which provides a general knowledge of clerical office work of any kind in which the applicant has demonstrated the ability to perform satisfactorily at the grade level of the position.

Experience may have been gained in an operation or administrative capacity, which included responsibility for various phases of operations of a bowling facility.

Specialized experience in a bowling facility which provides basic knowledge of bowling programs, procedures and rules, and which provided an in-depth knowledge of the operations of at least one of the functions of a bowling facility.

Typing skills and computer experience are required.

Knowledge of Government Purchase Card (GPC) program is desired.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
